She walks on her toes. But whenever this point is brought to her attention she takes special care to put all her weight in her heels with each step. Overcompensating, she looks like a toy soldier marching off to defend a gumdrop palace. She despises people who walk on their toes. Makes people motion sick to watch, she says.

  1. She's light on her feet. Quick. Always ready to follow the breeze to a new adventure. Too many years of tradition and expectation make her feet heavy. So she changes her stride. Lengthens her steps. Falls back into herself. Wait until the westward winds blow across her path with the fresh scent of danger. Where will the toy soldier be that day?
